The Director of Talent Acquisition is a hands-on leadership role supporting the highly dynamic staffing of both full-time and freelance positions. Partnering with project and resource leadership, this individual will make significant contributions to project execution through the identification and successful recruiting of key technical talent. Working with the HR Team, the Director of Talent Acquisition will build a successful recruiting culture in which employees throughout the organization are engaged in the recruiting process and are trained to be effective in their efforts to support the attraction of unique and exceptional talent.
Partner with VP, HR to develop talent acquisition strategies including posting, social media, outreach, job fairs and events, university relations, branding, developing interview skills, etc.
Partner with hiring managers to identify both long and short-term talent needs and related recruiting sources.
Build a strong and vibrant pipeline of top tier engineering and design talent.
Develop and execute appropriate recruiting strategies both position specific and general.
Provide counsel and support to hiring managers throughout the recruiting process: sourcing, screening, interviewing and job offers.
Stay abreast of tools and resources and determine how to integrate them in a way that is tailored to our needs
Manage relationships with search firms as needed.
Manage contract recruiters as needed.
Support HR team on post offer process and onboarding as needed.
Ensure thorough and consistent use of applicant tracking system and work with the HR team and consultants on the annual Affirmative Action Plan.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree
10+ years of full cycle recruiting experience with demonstrated success in placing employees at all levels with a focus on STEM.
A hands-on leader who is able and willing to carry their own list of roles to fill.
Demonstrated ability to fill unique and hard-to-fill roles.
Experience recruiting creative talent including artists, architects, and designers.
Experience recruiting within both large and small organizations.
Demonstrated ability to staff in a highly unstructured environment and the ability to work with and through ambiguity.
Thorough understanding of current employment and labor laws particularly those related to hiring and government contracting/EEO/OFCCP requirements.
Working knowledge of online application tracking systems, and tools such as Glassdoor, Indeed and LinkedIn.
Must possess strong sourcing skills, assessment abilities, and recruiting network.
Effective communication and persuasive skills required.
Ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with functional leadership.
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with senior level management, company employees, and professional groups.
Must possess a professional demeanor and able to push back when required.
Able to successfully multitask and execute.
