The Management Science team helps drive "the art of the possible" for advanced analytics at NBCUniversal by building and integrating pragmatic data science/engineering principles and products throughout the Company. The Team focuses primarily on decision science analyses to inform strategy and key business decisions and building advanced data products to help enable more data-enhanced decision making. This successful candidate will play a leadership role in a NBCU corporate wide forecasting initiative.
Here what you’ll do in this role
Collaborate as part of a team of Data Scientists in the design and execution of advanced analytical data exploration, mining, inference, forecasting and optimization models and systems utilizing multiple traditional and non-traditional media measurement data sets
Develop methodologies to deliver high-impact insights for data-enhanced decision making at all levels of the organization
Translate complex problems and solutions to all levels of the organization
Coordinate with internal tech teams to scale analytical solutions
Manage multiple priorities across a mix of ad-hoc and operational projects
Drive the collection and manipulation of new data and the refinement of existing data sources
Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications

You have a PhD with a specialization in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics or other quantitative field or equivalent
You have a minimum 2 years of experience leading teams in an advanced analytics or consulting role
You have a minimum 2 years of forecasting experience, spanning time-series as well as ML-based algorithms
You have experience and demonstrated proficiency in statistical methods for inferential analysis (specifically in time series, mixed models and panel data) and machine learning techniques (i.e., methods of supervised and unsupervised learning such as clustering, regression, classification, ensemble methods, etc.)
You have a strong understanding of the differences between inferential and predictive models and experience applying methods in both areas
You have working knowledge of at least two of the following programming languages: R, Python, SAS, Julia, Java, Scala or similar
You have familiarity with relational databases and SQL
You have advanced working knowledge of statistics and its applications for data analysis
You have experience with data visualization techniques and concepts
