We are seeking a Sr. Director of Global Datacenter Operations to lead our APAC & EMEA Regions. This position will report directly to the GM of Global Datacenter Operations (GDCO) and will be located at a regional hub in either APAC or EMEA depending upon the successful candidate’s preference.

In the Sr. Director of Global Datacenter Operations role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of datacenter industry professionals and directly manage the teams that operate, deploy, and maintain the critical environments and IT infrastructure in our datacenters. In addition to leading the teams that operate our datacenters, you will drive the delivery of global initiatives in facilities ranging from single large capacity sites/campuses to several smaller locations -- all built on the cutting edge of data center industry design and equipment.
Excellent interpersonal awareness, ability to navigate ambiguity, and communication skills will be pivotal in bringing your project management and technical abilities to life, supporting Microsoft’s success!

• Strong executive presence and ability to distill complex information into consumable and actionable themes for an executive audience
• Demonstrated experience delivering results in an ambiguous and changing environment and the ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Experience in leading and influencing a globally diverse group of employees and suppliers across multiple disciplines and platforms
• Previous proven experience building scalable solutions / programs
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment
• Exceptional ability to collaborate, to openly communicate, present and negotiate effectively across disciplines and groups, with suppliers and customers.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills, ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, and ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.
• A strategic thinker that understands the capabilities of technology and how to leverage those capabilities to achieve business results
• 10+ Years’ experience operating in mission-critical, 24x7x365 production environments.
• 10+ Years’ experience working on large scale projects. PMI or PMP Certifications are a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of physical IT infrastructures (e.g. Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, IDF/MDF design, structured cabling etc.)
• Knowledge of critical environment concepts and infrastructure (e.g. Electrical Distribution, Mechanical Cooling Systems, etc.)
• Previous experience with MS platforms (Azure, O365) (nice to have)
• Ability to travel globally (up to 30%)
