Facebook is seeking a Director of Data Science for our Infrastructure engineering teams supporting multiple efforts at Facebook. The team is currently involved in developing analytics and assessing risks on engagements ranging from performance, efficiency and reliability of the Facebook family of apps to system architecture and spatial computing efforts supporting our global connectivity efforts.

Responsibilities
Develop a long term vision and plan to grown the impact, coverage and influence of the infrastructure data science team.
Build, scale and lead a world class data science team to support the Foundation Infrastructure efforts.
Partner with other Technology teams on strategy, develop quantitative decision making frameworks and work with cross functional teams to ensure overall plans are met or exceeded
Champion and provide analytics and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process, for regular assessment and improvement
Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
Foster a positive, creative and collaborative environment, encouraging brainstorming and an openness to try new ideas.
Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.
Minimum Qualification
BS/MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Operations Research
Experience working in data science and data analytics is a must.
15+ years of professional technical leadership and engineering management experience.
Experience in technical leadership in leading analytics research.
