Sr. Director Business Development Revlon San Diego

To be fully responsible for the overall management of the domestic sales operation. The position requires a highly qualified person in terms of total business experience, management ability and sales related aptitude.

Core Responsibilities: (not intended to be all inclusive)

Business Management
• Responsible for sales cycle planning, execution and evaluation
• Interacts with Marketing and Accounting in the development of profitable business building promotional activities
• Monitors and evaluates business trends and adjust plans accordingly
• Participates in the creation of reliable forecasts
• Consolidates and validates forecasted quantities by account
• Ensures forecast accuracy and inventory level targets are met
• Provide account insight in the forecast alignment meetings
• Approves and/or submits BIRD documents for promotions
• Signs-off global forecast

Personnel Development
• Maintains on-going recruitment effort as needed to ensure high level Field Sales Force
• Directs the development and implementation of world class training program for new and current employees
• Guides, assesses performance and motivates the Sales Force to realize optimum results
• Ensures strategic focus, open communication and results orientation with Regional Sales Manager

Resource Allocation
• Responsible for all sales related budgets
• Directs and monitors class allocations by type and by distributor

Distributor Trade/Show Management
• Serves as first line of Senior Management contact for Distributor Executive Management
• Performs on-going evaluation of domestic distributors. Screens prospective distributor and manages territory issues
• Communicates distribution issues to executive management with recommended issue related solutions
• Creates sales growth plans with Directors of Business Development, articulates and evaluates performance on an ongoing basis
• Manages all aspects of Trade Show participation including scheduling, evaluation and budgetary alignment

Administration
• Continually serves as a resource for information relative to trade/industry of competitive development, practices and plans
• Manages the involvement of the Directors of Business Development in the Marketing process, i.e. input on the update and other sales related vehicles
• Approves all pricing related communication to the Field
• Coordinates all Field Sales/in salon activities including the SWAT team
• Conducts on-going analysis of distribution, pricing, market share from a Field perspective and continuously update relevant management

Qualifications
Education

Required

Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.
