The New York Times is looking for a Director of Technology to serve as a mentor, teacher and coach for the digital commerce teams that work on the core components of our paywall and digital subscription business.

Desired Skills & Experience

An extensive background operating large scale web applications on the JVM
A breadth of knowledge across all layers of the web stack, and experience building APIs in a mobile context
A track record building distributed systems that span data centers / regions
A history managing multiple technical teams and dozens of projects simultaneously
