We are seeking an Operations Director in Cloud Operations with strong operational, leadership and technical skills. As an Operations Director, you'll represent Oracle and Cloud Operations as your team field’s technical inquiries from customers who want help using Oracle products and services.
You'll work directly with engineering teams to ensure a high quality, fast resolution customer experience. You may drive customer communications during critical events and drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customer’s technical support experience.
Basic Qualifications
· Passionate about the growth and success of Oracle customers.
· Experience in Strategic and Business Planning and Process Improvements.
· Experience in directing technical support teams in Architecture/Tools Development and Automation/Infrastructure/Product Development/Cloud Operations and will also have a record of driving projects to develop and improve support-related processes and the technical support experience.
· Identifying operational tools and driving its architecture.
· Experience managing and leading direct and matrix technical and business planning teams. Hiring, coaching, and leading.
· Driving continuous improvements in process and operational efficiencies. Lead process-improvement efforts and manage the implementation of both business processes and technical solutions. Drive best practices across cross functional teams.
· Superb communication skills, at all levels of customer and management interaction, which will be key in driving engagement and customer success during critical events and escalations.
· Substantial experience with cloud infrastructure and open source technologies. Experience with Oracle products is a plus.
· Ability to prioritize, and direct teams to keeping multiple time-sensitive tasks on track. Proven ability to work effectively on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong Project Management and risk management skills
· Good data mining and analytical skills as well as proven process management skills.
Change management, processes and software quality assurance improvements in high-paced technologically advanced environment.
· The Oracle Cloud Operations business requires innovative thinking balanced with a strong customer and quality focus. This leader will have a track record of achieving that balance.
· Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or commensurate experience
· Flexible work schedules (weekends and/or evenings)
