Director - Health Economic and Reimbursement - Diabetes Medtronic - Los Angeles
Job description
Under the direction of the Senior Director, Global Health Economic and Reimbursement, Medtronic Diabetes Division, this role will lead the charge in developing and disseminating tools while coordinating best practice sharing across International Markets in regards to health economics and modeling, systematic literature reviews and global value dossier development, and clinical evidence generation. Ensures proper attention and resourcing is given to diabetes across international especially in countries/regions where Health Economic and Reimbursement (HE&R) staff is cross-business or under resourced.
This position is authorized for financial expenditures/commitment levels as defined by the Medtronic Diabetes BU Policy.
Medtronic's fastest growing business is in diabetes, which gained 10% to $430 million in the most recent quarter over a year ago.
Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in health policy, health services research, epidemiology, economics, biostatistics, public administration, clinical research or a related discipline preferred. Advanced degree in the above areas preferred.
• 7+ years healthcare work experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry with reimbursement planning/policy experience.
• 4+ years’ experience in managing people
• Experience in Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Health Economic and Outcome Research (HEOR), pharmaceutical/medical device/HE&R consulting, or working for a payer on healthcare reimbursement
• Experience working in a global HE&R role within industry as well as similar International experience preferred.
• Experience in international reimbursement and health care economics with multi-government health care systems.
