Director - Sales - Samsung Electronics - Seattle


Job description
Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. (SSI) is a world leader in Memory, System LSI, Storage and LCD technologies. We are currently looking for a Director of Sales to work in our Redmond, WA office. This person will be managing a team that will be responsible for major accounts in the Pacific Northwest.



Responsibilities include:
Establish strategic business relationships with customers at all levels of management.
Develop and establish synergistic strategic vision and plan to strengthen business relationship and expand business
Responsible for meeting sales revenue goals for assigned customer(s) which include budget setting and attainment.
Responsible for managing existing team of direct employees and functional team.
Responsible for the backlog at the expected price, and expediting orders and providing accurate sales forecasts for the specified territory.
Develop, implement, and administer programs to enhance customer effectiveness and communicate internally.
Secure key design-wins by working with marketing and applications team for the assigned customers.
Prepare and provide regular reports to management including accurate and timely competitive information.

Desired Skills and Experience
BA/BS Degree in engineering/business/marketing or equivalent required
15+ years of Sales or Marketing experience required
7+ years of recent/relevant experience in hardware semiconductor sales or marketing
5+ years of recent Memory experience (DRAM/SSD/NAND Flash) OR Display required
3+ years of experience managing people/teams required
Experience selling to major OEM’s required
Strong track record of meeting/exceeding multimillion dollar quotas required
Excellent communication skills required
BSEE highly preferred
