Job Description
Summary: The Software Architect for Software-as-a-Service will be responsible for the design and production of new applications targeting Dell’s small and medium business (SMB) customers. The individual needs to be proactive, independent, and innovative in their approach. Requires strong experience and proven results in a rapid and dynamic software development environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and implement major pieces of Dell Cloud business applications
Make, recommend and promote design decisions on the basis of performance, scalability, and future expansion
Develop high-quality, production ready architecture
Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovation through our products
Work with the architecture team and engineering team to oversee the design of critical areas of the application data model throughout the entire Dell customer lifecycle
Skills
Experience building highly scalable systems for SaaS applications
Expert knowledge in some or all of the following areas: Web Services, UI Technologies, Search, Storage and Cloud Platforms
Experience in mid-market (SMB) business applications: CRM, ERP/Finance, Marketing and/or H
Excellent analytical, planning and process development and communication skills; proven ability to work cross-functionally
International and start-up experience preferred
Minimum 8 years of experience in software design/architecture, data modeling, security, performance, scalability, and tuning
BA/MA degree in Computer Science or comparable business experience
