Symantec’s $1.8Bn Security Group is focused on helping business address the four key challenges of Enterprise Security: Defining and Enforcing IT Policies, Protect their Information, Protect their Infrastructure, and effectively Manage Systems. Within the Security Group, the Growth Products team addresses the first of these two challenges with our Control Compliance Suite and Data Loss Prevention product lines.

This position will be responsible for leading the development of the Control Compliance Suite product line, and will report to the Sr. Director, Product Management, Growth Products.
Responsibilities
• Own and implement the product vision, strategy and roadmap
• Drive software development lifecycle including market requirements assessments, product requirements & functional designs, and collaboration with Engineering for successful implementation & delivery
• Engage customers/prospects, sales, and technical product management to define and prioritize product requirements and implementation details
• Collaborate with peer organizations, including sales, product marketing, regional product management, and partners to take these products to market effectively and grow the business
• Evangelize product strategy and roadmap internally, with customers and partners
• Lead a geographically distributed team of 4 individual contributor product managers
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science required; MBA preferred
• 5+ years of team leadership experience required
• Domain expertise with IT Governance, Risk Management and Compliance highly desired
• Software product management experience highly desired
• Superior structured problem solving abilities
• Sound business judgment, and proven ability to effectively prioritize & make tradeoff decisions with potentially vague or incomplete information
• Exceptional communication and presentation and skills, both written and verbal
• Confidence, credibility and poise, and ability to think on your feet
• Strong sense of ownership, initiative and work ethic
• Ability and desire to travel 25-35%
