This position is responsible for managing and driving best in class processes and tight SOX controls to assure the field sales organization is fully goaled out, those targets are properly reflected on goal sheets, compensation is accurately calculated and paid promptly. This requires understanding of compensation systems and a widely dispersed compensation team including resources in each theater and a centralized incentive compensation team. To be most effective, the person in this position must be customer oriented and responsive while also being both fair and firm. This position works closely with both human resources as they develop the plans and assure they are competitive in the market and sales operations who owns the compensation plan design, documentation, training and field sales management support of the quota setting process. This position also owns tracking and reporting the financial metrics to analyze the efficacy and cost of the sales incentive plan along with cost modeling potential changes to the sales incentive plan.

Accounting or finance degree required with minimum 10 years experience.
Individual must have extensive experience in systems based compensation systems, preferably in high tech at a management level.
Individual must be familiar with development and implementation of new compensation plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
Key skills are the ability to manage both processes and people as well as influence those that are on the diverse, dispersed team.
Process and project management skills are also important as each year’s compensation plan becomes a new project.
A good understanding of systems and process controls is also important as is other finance or accounting experience.

Travel requirements for the position 2-3 times per year within the US.
