The Director will be actively involved in the clinical supervision of all social workers within the department and will be responsible for monthly audits for quality. The Director will assist in facilitating the monthly staff meetings specifically addressing areas of training related to clinical growth and development for the social workers. Oversee the development of the Social Services program and clinical services necessary to meet key mental health and substance abuse treatment needs of the community.
Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring program quality improvements. The Director will conduct family sessions prior to discharge and act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. The Director is also a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.
The Director Will Provide Clinical Supervision To The Social Work Department By
attending monthly social work staff meetings to provide education and/or supervision as indicated;
conducting individual face to face clinical supervision sessions with each social work department employee at intervals no less than once per quarter;
maintain a supervision files that documents session and topics discussed;
consulting with the Director of Clinical Services on policy and procedure development related to social services;
assisting the Director of Clinical Services on policy and procedure development related to social services;
assisting the Director of Clinical Services in evaluating psychosocial assessments of completeness and timeliness;
contributing to the annual evaluation of each social work department employee and
contributing to the 90 day evaluations of new social work department employees.
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related fields. Prefer license to practice independently from the State of Georgia, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC
Three (3) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with adults, children and/or adolescents. Must have at least one (1) year of inpatient setting and one (1) year of experience with managed care organizations. Must have supervisory experience. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to include but not be limited to: sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, and relaxation therapy. Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.
