Director - Product Marketing - KLA-Tencor - Milpitas

Job description
Responsibilities:
This is a product marketing role in KLA-Tencor's Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division, one of the core groups of KLA-Tencor's metrology business. The film and Scatterometry division, conceives, develop manufactures and markets film, composition and optical CD metrology equipment for the front end semiconductor manufacturing process counting all major semiconductor manufacturers among its key customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing new products within the product lifecycle process including defining requirements, setting priorities for the development team, selecting and working with test partners and managing product launches. Strong leadership across differing functional groups and effective communication with executive management will be key elements to success in this role. There will also be significant account management responsibilities working with an international sales team to define penetration strategies, formulate competitive responses and manage tool evaluations and competitive run-offs. Also as a senior member of the marketing team the successful candidate will contribute to the strategic planning process defining the future direction of the division. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process and the importance of metrology tools and techniques in improving process control and will likely have worked in a wafer fab environment.


Desired Skills and Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer 10-15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Direct wafer fab experience is considered an advantage.
Experience in Scatterometry based metrology would also be considered an advantage.
Direct product marketing experience in a semiconductor or related industry is required.
MBA is considered an advantage but not essential to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
