We are looking for a Director of Pricing to lead pricing and packaging initiatives across Elastic’s on-premise and Cloud product offerings. You will be the point-person on all major pricing decisions and programs, and have a chance to take on a key and highly-visible role in our organization. A real passion for analyzing data, improving processes and driving efficiencies will serve you well in this role!
Act as a coordinating force behind all pricing-related analysis and decisions, working across Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Product groups
Establish and lead a Pricing Committee to drive cross-functional decision-making
Actively track internal developments and market trends to effectively prioritize pricing efforts in a timely manner
Craft relevant and effective pricing-related messaging and collateral and deliver internal enablement sessions
Possess subject matter expertise and credibility necessary to independently assist the sales force on pricing-related calls with customers
Define business critical metrics to track pricing effectiveness and performance
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field, or relevant work experience
Experience generating pricing analysis, positioning, messaging, and collateral
Knowledge of different enterprise software licensing models for both Cloud and on-premise products
Natural affinity towards quantitative analysis, and understanding how something works and using that knowledge for higher-level strategic goals
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Experience organizing and coordinating efforts and programs across large teams
Comfort working with a highly distributed team
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience working for a startup or early stage company
Prior exposure to software technologies related to Data Analytics, IT Operations and Search
