Department Description:
Design and implement successful press campaigns for ADA affiliated artists and labels

Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Create and implement national publicity campaigns from inception to completion for ADA artists
Responsible for hiring and managing independent publicist for certain artists. Oversee their progress and work together with the indie to make sure they are on point and taking advantage of every potential opportunity.
Maintain strong relationships with National Press (Magazines, Newspapers, Wire News Services), TV Bookers (Letterman, Fallon, Seth Meyers, Conan, Kimmel, Today Show, Ellen, Arsenio, Latifah, etc), Regional Press Outlets (Dailies, Weeklies, Local TV), Regional and National Fanzines, larger influential Websites and Blogs (MTV.com, Spin.com, Rollingstone.com, Stereogum.com, Pitchfork.com, etc), Lifestyle Brands and Music Placement companies.
Compile press materials for each artist (press release, bio, quote sheet, photos, etc)
Organize and execute press mailings (both digital and physical)
Work closely with online marketing team to coordinate and compliment online press strategy, including premieres and exclusive content placement
Oversee press schedule (including press days in New York and Los Angeles as well as phoner schedule)
Update and circulate press reports and highlights to ADA label partners
Conduct regional tour press campaigns around select tours
Represent ADA and our affiliated artists and labels out at shows, events and parties around NYC

Desired Skills and Experience
Required Competencies/Skills:
Established relationships with National and Regional press outlets
Extreme knowledge of today’s print, online and television media
Understanding the development of a band or artist and what publicity’s role is in the rollout of a new artist
A deep love for new music and the drive to push people on artists that you’re representing
Person needs to be a capable writer
Key personality traits: Someone who has very good communication skills, is personable, outgoing and organized.
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Highly organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and work in a “team” environment.
Education Required:
Established relationship with the media and a deep contact list
5+ years of experience in national print music/entertainment publicity
Bachelor’s degree preferred
