Director - Practice Development - MedAmerica - Emeryville


Job description
What We Are Searching For:
An experienced Business Development leader responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating revenue opportunities and maintaining customer relationships. The Director, Practice Development will work closely with our clients and with internal management to achieve new business growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with hospital clients and analyzing new contract opportunities. In this role, you will identify opportunities for growth and preferably have an in depth knowledge of healthcare services.

Here’s How You Would Support MedAmerica and our Clients:
Build and maintain relationships with MedAmerica and our client leaders.
Lead life cycle new business phase including identification and qualification of growth opportunities and competitor analysis,
Manage the RFP process from developing the response through contract negotiations.
Develop new business opportunities in line with MedAmerica and our client’s strategic vision.
Provide strategic and analytical support (including market analysis, proforma development, and strategic business development) to MedAmerica and our client leaders.

Desired Skills and Experience
Key Competencies / Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Public Health/Administration or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience in Hospital Medicine a big plus.
Proven track record in selling to hospital C-suite
Ability to assess potential clients’ business needs and combine them with our service offerings.
Experience using Salesforce software.
Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
Comfortable interacting with and influencing healthcare executives
Ability to multi-task and maintain flexibility with work environment.
Strong computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, CRM, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Ability and willingness to travel to clients and conferences.
Strong ability to network within healthcare industry.
Strong analytical, financial and organizational skills
Self-directed, motivated, and sensitive to deadlines
