This position will report to the Head of Program and Business Management within the CIT organization. The Program and Business Management team is responsible for all business management activities across the organization including:
Portfolio level management of approximately 160 projects with an annual portfolio size of ~$80M
Business management activities including financial budget and forecasting, audit activities (both internal and external), and resource budgeting and forecasting

Matrixed direction and oversight of the Project Management Office (PMO) teams within the organization, to ensure governance and consistency in practices
Management of cross organizational and division initiatives
This Role:

A Technical Project Manager is a leader of strategy, planning, and execution/delivery. Visa's projects have many moving parts, and you are needed to step in and drive them forward. You will work with managers, developers, and other individuals to scope the project. You will define a plan for execution. You will lead the team through the lifecycle, keeping the team on a track, motivating them, identifying risks, and resolving issues as they arise. You will be a key member of the team and a key reason for its eventual success. We are looking for someone who is passionate about planning and executing, and can boldly lead happy, healthy teams in a fast paced environment. As TPM, you will help deliver cross-functional, high-priority initiatives in Corporate IT.

Key responsibilities include:
Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of large scale, complex projects
Assemble and lead cross-organizational, multi-site, high performance teams, creating a collaborative environment and driving projects from conception to successful completion
Partner cross organizationally, gathering business requirements, building a plan, providing sound analysis, and delivering solutions
Work closely with the technology groups to influence solutions, contribute to the development of design artifacts and quality assurance plans
Taking full accountability for the team's delivery by ensuring features meet quality gates and program milestones
Management of development functions including business requirements elaboration, systems and process flow analysis, meeting critical milestones and deliverables that are time and scope boxed
Heavy collaboration across business and technology organization, providing sound business analysis, process and change leadership within an Agile framework
Ownership of budget and resource assignment for up to a $5m investment
Provide timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders; hold regular cross organizational management briefings
Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues
Maintain meticulous records of project and program financials, issues, risks, decisions, schedules
Drive agile adoption and scale agile across the organization
Working with limited direction, usually within a complex and evolving environment, to drive delivery of solutions while influencing cultural change
Provide thought leadership and recommendations to management based on best practices and experience working in a global and diverse environment
Communicate effectively and proactively with management ideas and recommendations for optimizing business operations, resources and fixed capacity
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to resolve scheduling and other conflicts in order to meet all deadlines

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a Computer Science/Engineering is required
12+ years of proven experience managing technically complex, cross-organizational, multi-stakeholder projects in a highly matrixed environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel and Project)
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. In particular, a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed
Must have a strong analytical acumen, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills High degree of business acumen and technical competency; ability to balance and bridge technology and business needs; project and program management Experience in reviewing technical solution design and evaluation to ensure it meets business requirements and long term product
Reputation for being a collaborative thought partner and business leader, skilled at establishing formal and informal networks within the company
Manage through influence, but without direct management authority. Use capabilities to influence customers and stakeholders, and properly manage divergent expectations
Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
Demonstrated ability to succeed in a complex organization where the ability to discover and internalize diverse stakeholder goals is critical to brokering solutions that are in the best interest of Visa as a whole
Independent judgment and mature decision making skills to deal with activities that often have enterprise-wide scope and may have significant financial and compliance impacts
Thorough attention to detail and the ability to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities with other teams when needed
Ability to negotiate and gain consensus between organizations where competing priorities exist
Proficiency with agile/SCRUM development methodologies and software development lifecycle principles
Experience in working with agile lifecycle and/or tracking and process management tools, e.g. Rally, JIRA
