The Photos and Videos team needs an Audio Director who understands the challenge of evangelizing audio and instituting process and visibility across a large, dynamic studio. You are great at maintaining a big picture view of all studio features and initiatives to develop a creative audio vision and strategy that is developed with studio leadership including the Art Director, Creative Director, Design and Engineering Leads. You will use your expertise to innovate and guide bold new concepts, developing and incubating audio features that build an emotional engagement with our customers. Responsibilities:
- Direct a small team of audio designers, ensuring quality and consistency of the group’s work
- Institute a process that addresses audio at a high level across all studio initiatives
- Work closely with Design, Art, PM and Engineering to iterate on and drive the best audio experiences
- Handle feature priorities to ensure the products we design ship on time and at highest quality
- Identify and utilize external vendor resources if needed
- Coordinate and direct music selection and composition
- Provide hands-on audio design when needed

Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in audio production for digital products and devices including apps, games, tools or equivalent
- Portfolio/demo reel demonstrating a creative, keen ear for audio design principles involving UI, Music, SFX and aesthetic approach
- Excellent cross-functional communications skills - communicate and interact effectively within a team environment, and work collaboratively
- Demonstrated ability to tell great stories and define mood and brand through audio
- Experience and deep understanding of tools such as wWise, FMOD, Unity, Unreal Engine or equivalent
- Highly proficient with audio editing software such as ProTools, Nuendo, Audition, SoundForge or equivalent

Bonus:
- Coding experience or understanding (C, C++, Java, XML, XLS, etc)
- Strong mathematical skills (Trigonometry, vector math, etc)
- College degree (audio related)
- Previous non-gaming audio experience
- Music composition/instrument proficiency
