We are looking for a Director of Payments Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) to partner with Amazon Payments businesses, compliance and technology teams, to develop and implement payments compliance monitoring and reporting systems that support the launch of payments products within new geographies, and implement world-class customer-centric risk management and compliance systems, tools and processes to support global and local regulatory requirements.
In This Role You Will
Stay abreast of innovative business and technology trends in payments governance, risk and compliance and advise senior leadership on risk and technology initiatives.
Partner with product, technology and compliance teams to define and implement new compliance business requirements within supporting systems.
Assist in building a comprehensive and sustainable risk and compliance program for current and future businesses around the globe.
Partner with risk, controls & testing teams to develop controls, monitoring programs and reports.
Manage payments risk management and compliance reporting systems, tools and resources.
Lead an internal working group to define the technology and feature roadmap for payments compliance and reporting systems and incorporate new technological advancements.
Work with compliance officers to define reporting needs and create standard reports.
12+ years of experience operating in a regulated environment and/or with regulated products/services.
5+ years of experience leading business operations, overseeing risk and compliance teams, directing technology selection, or developing systems and applications.
3+ years of experience with e-commerce and payments technologies.
Bachelor’s degree.
MBA
Experience in SoX readiness, IT control audits, and online payments is preferred.
Experience with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) systems and programs.
Experience managing or coordinating projects involving multiple resources and teams.
Ability to think about compliance broadly and develop effective compliance solutions that meet business objectives.
Proven ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally, and vertically across an organization.
Excellent verbal and written English communications skills.
Experience working with large data sets and complex computer environments.
Proven ability to facilitate and influence technology discussions with senior business leaders.
Experience with computer controls, and information security and protection measures.
Self-starter who can work objectively with integrity and exercise sound business judgment.
