USA Truck, Inc. – Director Transactional Services

The Director of Transaction Services is responsible for most of the Company’s working capital, the cash lifeblood of the business through which all other business activities are financed.

Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:
Ensure efficient billing and collection of all cash due throughout our various business operations.
Continuously improve billing and collecting processes to minimize errors, rework, and exceptions.
Reduce Days Sales Outstanding
Accounts Payable:
Pay vendors accurately and timely while enhancing cash flow through extended payments terms without jeopardizing the firm’s strong credit rating.
Process 1099 reporting annually.
Control costs:
Establish, manage, and achieve the prevailing Operating Plan cost targets in the Revenue Accounting and Accounts Payable functional areas; and maximize cash collections to minimize interest costs.
Succession Planning:
Develop and mentor capable and effective #1 and #2 team members for all leadership positions and critical individual contributor positions in your areas of responsibility.

Compensation package includes:
Position location: Fort Smith, AR
Base salary range - $90,000-$100,000 yr

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor Degree in finance or accounting; and
At least 10 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of TMW & Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar operating systems
Knowledge of bankruptcy laws, collection rules and regulations
Intermediate to advance skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience in high transaction environment, the ability to work with large data sets
The ability to flow chart existing processes and redesign the processes to increase productivity of staff, and improve the speed of billing and collections
