The charter of the Microsoft Services Industry Solutions Team is to increase industry relevance, improve relevance with business buyers, and to deliver platform-based solutions. The core goals of the Services Industry Solutions Team are to increase the win rate for industry-led solutions, increase New Work Sold from industry scenarios, increase Microsoft’s share of wallet with global accounts through industry solutions, and make the market for new Microsoft products through an industry-specific lens.
The Services Industry Solutions Team is responsible for leveraging the product-specific and Solution Area offerings and making them industry-relevant for business buyers. More than just a vertical veneer, the offerings team must have deep industry experience to have credible business conversations with buyers.

Responsibilities
As the leader of the Microsoft Services Industry Solutions Team, you will be responsible for setting the strategy and managing the execution for how Microsoft Services selects, develops, and lands industry offerings globally. This includes:



Managing a team of program managers and architects focused on high priority industries (currently Financial Services, Manufacturing, Retail, Government, Health, and Education)
Ensuring alignment with industry teams across Microsoft, most notably the Worldwide Industry Team and the Cloud and Enterprise (C+E) Industry Product Marketing Team, and Microsoft 365 Product Marketing Team regarding prioritized scenarios and products
Working closely with Solution Area and Digital Advisory Services teams among other Services teams to collaborate on scenarios
Defining Microsoft Services’ value proposition and messaging for industry solutions
Building thought leadership and mindshare through industry conferences, working with industry analysts, and publishing industry-oriented white papers
Setting and executing Services’ offering strategy for industry solutions that includes the entire lifecycle of solutions from pre-sales through ongoing support and consumption/adoption
Defining and building the readiness roadmap for training marketers and sellers on industry solutions
Working with and managing the hand-off to the Industry Delivery team and the delivery Domains
Supporting our external partner and ISV strategy for industry, working with One Commercial Partner team, Enterprise Team, and Product Group/Business Group Partner Teams

Qualifications
At least 15 years of professional experience in management consulting, offering/product strategy, marketing, sales, technology implementation, or related field
Deep expertise in selling and implementing industry-based solutions across multiple industries including at least two of the following: financial services, manufacturing, retail/consumer goods. Health, or government
Thought leadership in an industry or area of expertise outside of Microsoft
Strong track record of people management
Demonstrated track record of effective communication with technical and business leaders at all levels within large enterprises
Proven ability to understand and capitalize on industry and market trends, customer requirements and Microsoft priorities to develop a strategic execution plan for the business
Experience creating and executing plans in collaboration with large HQ and field organizations
Global experience across several markets
Relevant undergraduate degree and /or equivalent work experience. Master’s Degree preferred
