The Chief Technology Office (CTO) is responsible for Citi's overall Information Technology strategy. CTO's mission is to optimize Citi's IT environment by driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of systems supporting global functions such as Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management and Finance, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and create a competitive advantage for the firm.
The Enterprise Technology Solutions group within CTO is responsible for Technology development and support for the Global Functions including Finance and Risk Infrastructure.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the design, build and implementation of a strategic, state-of-the-art, operating and reporting general ledger for the entire firm.
We are looking for a Senior Technology Leader to join our team delivering the next generation, highly stable and high-performing Finance Ledger aka Finance Full Suite, as part of multi-year country rollout plan.
This key position is responsible for managing technology roadmap of Finance applications in support of Citi’s core capabilities. The Full Suite initiative is aimed at enabling the Citi Finance and Risk transformation by addressing processes, data, organization, and technology. It will drive consistency, efficiency, and control across Citi’s Finance and Risk Infrastructure. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success leading global development teams to successful delivery of solutions for the enterprise, strong analytical skills, depth of technical expertise across the full software stack, promote technical excellence, and have strong communication skills. The successful candidates must be able to drive strategy for the platform and the organization, partnering well with senior business leaders and senior technology management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead an organization of 100+ professionals in driving and implementing Citi Finance strategy
Lead and deliver large scale Enterprise architecture initiatives from inception.
Partner closely with senior leadership teams within the Finance and Risk organizations at the global and regional levels in aligning technology strategy with their respective objectives, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
Partner with senior leaders in Finance & Risk organizations in understanding evolving regulatory needs and formulating/communicating Tech Regulatory strategy; agree technology expenditure plans at the regional level and drive cost efficiencies
Communicate with senior managers Technology and Global Functions in aligning implementation and operational strategies
Partner with Audit, Compliance and Legal teams in ensuring the team's stringent audit and compliance needs are fulfilled
Partner with Senior Management and/or provide consultations and expert advice on strategic plans and business objectives.
Effectively interface with clients, understanding business needs and developing and executing a technology strategy to a deliver world class risk management platform
Effectively communicate with senior technology management and technology stakeholders
Work effectively as part of a large global team delivering firm and regulatory critical risk management solutions
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in developing Finance & Enterprise applications
Experience in Financial Services and knowledge of GAAP principles required;
Knowledge of Finance CDE’s , Data standards, existing Financial system FRS, PEARL, Genesis etc.
Knowledge of the Finance function and in knowledge of the balance sheet, and related concept is strongly preferred;
Intensive design and programming background in various technogies.
Strong and demonstrated execution skills with a proven track record of operating in a large global distributed application. Direct experience driving process and technology transformations
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field required
Strategic planning and project management skills along with Architect / Design Lead
Ability to lead, develop people and drive strategy of the organization
Understanding of Citi’s organization and infrastructure
Leadership with the ability to see the big picture without losing attention to detail
Relationship management skills with the ability to handle conflict and negotiations across all levels of the organization
Client management skills with a proven ability to closely partner with senior and line managers and other stakeholders on projects;
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify key issues, gather data to investigate those issues and develop actionable recommendations;
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including the development and documentation of critical project deliverables required to support closure of each phase;
Prior experience working on regulatory reporting initiatives and interfacing with internal audit and risk control groups is preferred;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated technical expertise across the following areas:
An enterprise RDMS database such as Oracle, Sybase, Neteeza
Big data technologies experience, including Apache Spark , Hadoop, & Hive
Unix / Linux
Cloud based infrastructure
Experience with ETL tools such as Abinitio
Enterprise performance Management (EPM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
