The Director, Digital Strategy & Brand Partnerships for Digital & Emerging Technology will be a seasoned technology professional who will be an advocate for NBCUniversal brands’ digital entities. They will have the pulse of market trends and industry disruption, while also guiding the development of world-class digital capabilities that will enable our varied businesses and brands to achieve their business goals and strengthen our position as a digital leader in the media industry.
The role will interact with the NBCU brands & business units on a regular basis to consult and amplify their strategy, product vision, features, and roadmap and then function as the brand conduit to O&T as their long range plans are developed. The partnership with the brands will include driving business priorities, managing expectations and trade-offs as related to implementation, and functioning as the primary O&T point-of-contact for the brand.

As a senior member of the team, the role will include assisting in project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, communication, and budgeting. They will also work closely with Product Management & Engineering to set priorities for upcoming program increments and overall direction in long range planning. Overall, the role is a trusted technology partner and liaison to business and technology stakeholders. They are a key participant in defining, developing, and driving the digital and innovation agenda for the company.

Responsibilities:
Serve as the ambassador to brands for the Operations & Technology organization
Anticipate brand & business needs; have a strong understanding of current and future technology trends
Collaborate with various Product Managers/Owners in developing an overall product vision and execution strategy
Consult with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment of a portfolio of projects and multiple business units’ strategy and objectives
Manage requirement intake, business case development, and prioritization based on ROI, market timelines, project plans, and budgets
Socialize new requirements cross-brands to determine synergies, efficiencies, and reusability of technology
Work with multiple teams on cross-functional prioritization, communications, and risk management
Prioritize projects and estimate the impact of new or modified services in terms of cost, capacity, contingency, infrastructure, and one-time vs. ongoing resources
Own communications and updates to business/brand stakeholders as well as executive leadership teams
Collaborate with finance teams to develop and implement a costing and charge back methodology; maintain fiscal discipline for team
Negotiate priorities and timelines on behalf of the brands with multiple stakeholders

Qualifications/Requirements

•Experience working within the media and entertainment industry
•5+ years hands-on experience with emerging media technology products and project management
•5+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, or analytical skills
•Experience developing business cases and quantifying ROI and benefits from technology products and services
•Experience with the Agile methodology and process
•Self-starter and collaborator with the ability to engage with stakeholders directly, set agenda and goals and drive the conversation to achieve goals
•Ability to work and communicate clearly and effectively with both business stakeholders and technology teams
•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
•Knowledge of market trends and leaders in the digital media space
•Experience in product development, including requirements analysis, specification development, user design, and implementation
•Experience in enabling customer workflows and operations
•Experience managing large, complex initiatives to on-time completion in large matrixed organizations
