Pfizer Business Analytics &; Insights (BAI) delivers data-driven insights that enable our clients to make improved decisions. With more than 300 colleagues in over 40 markets globally, the BAI team provides rigorous analytics services to Pfizer leaders, marketing clients and partners throughout the world. Our dynamic and expanding team is comprised of subject-matter experts from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including market research, data analytics, and consulting. As a team, we leverage our passion for analytics and our ability to turn data into meaningful insights to guide business strategy across Pfizer.
As the lead BAI partner to the US Vaccines Prevnar Pediatric and Trumenba Teams, the person in this role will lead the generation of integrated Analytics and Insights for a portfolio of brands that are a key driver of both current sales and future growth for Pfizer Vaccines.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the identification of information needs, development of insights plans, management of the market research process, and communication of insights to clients
Work with colleagues supporting other parts of BA (including secondary analytics, centers of excellence, global/CD) to ensure that analyses conducted are appropriately fit-to-purpose, guided by brand strategy and anticipating changing needs
Provide analysis, insights, and strategic recommendations to support business planning, ensuring a thorough understanding of the vaccines market, key customers, and current and future competitors
Creating accurate product-level forecasting by integrating primary and secondary insights; work with CoE colleagues to ensure creation of best-of-breed forecast models and exploring alternative forecast approaches
Identify key metrics to track performance, forecast future performance, and evaluate market opportunities based on an understanding of competitive market dynamics
Contribute to sharing of best practices and building a culture of continuous improvement across the Vaccines BA team and the broader BA community
Education:

B.A. / B.S. required; advanced degree in relevant discipline desirable (e.g. MA/MS/MBA/Ph.D.); quantitative background preferred
Experience:

10+ years of experience in market research, analyzing and deriving insight from secondary data, and/or management consulting
Experience leading and achieving results through matrixed organizations
Track record of thought partnership with commercial leadership to advance organizational priorities and goals
Technical skills and competencies:

Strong strategic thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify business issues/opportunities based on establishing close partnership with internal or external clients
Clear and persuasive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information and analytics into actionable insights and business recommendations
Proven ability to recognize interactions between insights, identify trends, innovate, proactively recognize future business needs and link them to current and future analytics
Understanding of the market dynamics of the U.S. pharmaceutical business (product launches, product lifecycle management, market and policy trends, etc.); experience in specialty markets and with driving analytics for product launches strongly preferred
Experience deriving valuable insights from large, complex datasets (e.g. transaction data, patient-level data, electronic medical records, etc.) either through hands-on analysis or by working with other internal functions or external partners
Ability to effectively project-manage and coordinate delivery of complicated, multi-disciplinary projects spanning multiple analytics groups
Thought leadership in determining innovative approaches across primary and secondary market research, other analytic methods
Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to act decisively in tight timelines; strategic and analytical agility
Ability to manage simultaneously multiple projects and business priorities involving a variety of internal and external partners and cross-functional stakeholders
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Occasional business travel required
