Director Systems Workflow Management NBCUniversal Media Universal City

The Director, Systems and Workflow Management will oversee and centralize in-house workflow systems across multiple marketing disciplines including off-air, on-air and digital. This position reports to the VP, Marketing Operations & Administration.

Essential Responsibilities:
Manage deployments of Asset Management systems by establishing new processes, transitioning workflows, and managing cultural change.
Partner with all departments to document existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and plan continuous productivity improvements.
Unify processes for ingest and access of materials & assets across the division.
Oversee small team supporting acquisitions, ingest, cataloging and distribution of materials.
Partner with production teams to migrate manual processes to software supported methods.
Embed in all production and technology workflows to adjust, implement and ensure seamless automation wherever possible.
Work with IT and Engineering to investigate, build and improve current and new systems.
Improve the flow of media to/from offsite vendors.
Lead any necessary vendor proposal solicitation and bids.
Maintain leading knowledge on industry landscape, workflow technologies and internal operations as constant analysis.
Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 10 years’ experience in video production and post production.
Minimum 5 years managing a team.
Experience in data management and archival strategies.
Experience with review and approval, workflow and scheduling applications.
Education in library science is a plus.
Interest and understanding of television industry, digital marketing, social media and online video workflows preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and experience with both PC and Mac.
