Director - Business International - Amazon - Seattle


Job description
Amazon is looking for a leader with proven experiences in thought leadership, detailed execution, and people development to lead the global expansion of Amazon Business. This role reports directly to the VP of International Expansion and has dotted line responsibility to the VP of Business-to-Business. As the person responsible for Amazon Business’s global deployment plans, you and your team will work with each country or region to define the specific plans and to identify and new or unique requirements.


You will work with the appropriate international or Amazon Business technical and product teams to drive new features or technology deployments as required. In addition, you will have direct responsibility for our B2B teams in foreign markets.

This is your opportunity to redefine B2B eCommerce and to lead an industry transformation of the global B2B market segment. You will help build an unrivaled customer experience for businesses that spans geographical regions. You’ll be responsible for advising the local teams to ensure they have an appropriate road map, driving best practices across geographies, and ensuring the needs of our global regions are clearly captured in the Amazon Business technology and product road maps.


You and your teams will also work closely with functional experts in logistics, customer service, payments and technology on behalf of customers. B2B is a fast-growing, dynamic, and fun business with a high-powered team that seeks to build strong customer-focused solutions and businesses. The B2B business has seen enormous growth and success over the last few years, and also has tremendous opportunity for expansion.

In your first 12 months, you can expect to do things like engage directly with our global business leaders, evolve and shape our technology/innovation roadmap, partner and influence cross-functional teams, and define the Amazon Business global expansion plans.

- Significant P&L operating experience in online commerce, technology, retail or business-to-business industries
- Track record of successful directing and operating complex technology initiatives
- Established record of building high-performing teams.
- International operating experience

- International operating experience, especially experience in Europe and Japan.
